more pictures to come as soon as my comp works again!!!
my friend stacy, the girl in the yellow shirt, and i were running a game for the kids and it was a little wet and she almost fell and then i went to run around the chair and then i fell and jonathon caught this lovely photo of me.
this is us keeping our van from tipping over. our van slid down this hill and got to close to the ditch and started turning and tipping a little (while we were all in the van) so we decided to take this pic and then we ran up the hill and the car met us up there.
this is one of the guy's rooms (no i didn't take the pic). this is it clean. they put some of their clothes on the fan and turned on the fan so the clothes went everywhere 2 days before we were suppose to leave. so this is the nice clean before picture.
this is the raleigh group minus baggett at the airport in miami after just running all the way across the terminal because they decided to switch our gate 20 mins before we were suppose to board and it was a 15min walk from where we were to the gate.
ok so on the friday before we left, we had this massive water fight with a bunch of the kids from the local village. it was absolutely amazing. even the friars were involved!

There are more pictures to come but here are some of them

this is us plus some of the virginia people in the airport on the way home in miami. we were very tired in case you couldn't tell.

we taught the kids how to play pato, pato, gallina (duck, duck, goose or in this case chicken b/c we couldn't think of how to say goose in spanish) and the kids absolutely loved it!!!!
the inside of the cathedral which again was absolutely stunning!!
this is a mural that was inside the cathedral which was absolutely beautiful!!!!!

this is the sanctuary at casa guadalupe which is where stayed the first 2 days we were there and then the last 3 days we were there. everything is built around this. you had to genuflect (spl??) so many times to walk around the house. it was absolutely amazing!!!! we had mass here every morning, except for the days when we were out in the aldeas (villages). we also did morning prayer, evening prayer, and holy hour in here every day we were there.
meet father gregorio on the left and brother augustino on the left. if you've seen the fisher of men video then you've seen brother augustino before. we're almost 100% sure that he plays the priest that runs to the car wreck. oh ps--> he's amazing at soccer.

this is the cathedral where we went to mass the first sunday that we were there. it's absolutely gorgeous and this was built without all of our modern technology.

a view of tegucigalpa on our way out of the country. this was THE best airplane ride ever!!!!

This is us at the airport in miami. we arrived in miami at 4:30 in the morning b/c our flight from raleigh to miami was cancelled so we flew from raleigh to orlando and drove from orlando to miami. our flight didn't leave til noon so we crashed on the floor and chairs until like 10ish.

Ok all you.....I'm back!!! I was in the Hon for 12 days and it was basically the most amazing trip of my life!!! If you guys get a chance to go you HAVE to go. The people there are the most amazing people that you will ever meet down there. They are so humble and are willing to give you everything they have even if it means that they don't get anything. Just be prepared to eat beans with every single meal that they offer down there including breakfast. They were ok the first couple of days but after that you kinda get tired of it but you eventually get to the point where you're so hungry that you don't care. So we had to wake up at 5 in the morning every morning except for one morning when we got to sleep until 6!! We had personal prayer time until like 6:30 ish and then had mass and morning laudes prayer and breakfast and then hung out with all the kids that were there and did programs with the kids and played soccer with the kids (they kicked our guy's butts) I'll have to tell you everything in person because there is just way too much to even begin to describe it by typing it out. I promise to keep updating!!! love you all!!!
